Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast

Tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday (aka Pancake Tuesday or Mardi Gras) which, in many Christian traditions, is a significant day as it marks the last day before the season of Lent begins. Because the 40 days of Lent that precede Easter are supposed to include fasting, we take this last Tuesday to have a party and eat good food!

To that end, I invite you all to our school’s Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast starting at 7:30 am in the VCSS cafeteria tomorrow, February 17. Enjoy delicious pancakes, sausages, hot coffee or tea or juice for only $5 per plate or $20 per family with proceeds going to the organization Development and Peace.
