Course Selection Powerpoint
Dear Parents/Guardians of Gr. 9 students:
We are beginning our planning for the 2025-2026 school year and will have distributed course planning worksheets to all students in grade 9. Your child should has been given a course selection sheet by the guidance counsellors for them to review with you before inputting their course choices in our system during the week of February 24th to 28th. The Yukon graduation program begins in Gr. 10, so it is recommended that all Gr. 9 students and parents/guardians understand the graduation requirements before choosing courses for next year. To that end, I would like to invite all Gr. 9 students, parents/guardians to an important information evening where the graduation program will be outlined, the various options students have for courses such as Mathematics or second languages will be described in detail, and any questions relating to graduation requirements will be answered. This session focuses mainly on the transition from grade 9 to 10. Parents/guardians are welcome to bring their child to the meeting; however, students in grade 9 have been presented the same information by the guidance counsellors last week. This meeting will be on Wednesday February 19th at 6:30 p.m. in the Learning Commons in person at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Secondary. If you are not able to attend the meeting, we will be sharing the slideshow by email the day following the presentation. Mia Ouellette Vice Principal Comments are closed.
