Rugby Recruitment

​We are currently looking for students who are interesting in playing rugby in this coming rugby season, which we are hoping to start in early January. More specifically, these students would like to be involved in an exchange rugby trip with Earl Marriott Secondary School in South Surrey, BC.
 
Eric Fekete from the Yukon Rugby Federation will be hosting a parent/athlete information session on Tuesday, December 3 @7pm here at St. Francis to discuss more about what this exchange would look like plus answer any questions you might have.
 
At this point in time we have been told the following by Eric:
 
Fundraising: We are working on getting a license for a 50/50 raffle, but we also encourage a bottle/ garbage drive in January. I am happy to assist, but the fundraising efforts will be lead by parents/ athletes.
 
Cost: The cost of the trip will be $400 per attendee. This will cover flights, activities and some food. The kids will be expected to take care of their own meals at times. We don't want finances to be a barrier, so if cost is an issue, please reach out to me directly and we can work on a plan.
 
Accommodations: The kids will be billeting with the hosts. For the most part, they will be 2 per household. Each host household will have been interviewed and had reference checks before being allowed to host.
