St. Francis Update March 24 - 28

​Dear St. Francis of Assisi students and families,
 
It is hard to believe that there are only 12 more weeks of school! We hope you had a restful spring break and are returning to school recharged. As we enter the final three months of the school year, we delight in the many highlights of the past term around our school, as well as look forward to some of the exciting events ahead!
 
Prayer
Lord our God, from whom great promises are given for all humankind and especially for your people, we gather in your presence.
We rejoice before you, for your promise is sure and your works will be revealed to the glory of your name.
Grant us steadfast faith in the grace of Jesus Christ.
Grant use faith to hold firm, and in spite of all evil to trust that you are ruling and will set everything right.
Lord our God, our Father, we cry to you. As the deer pants for refreshing water, so in our time our souls cry out to you, “Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored. May your kingdom come. May your will be done on earth as in heaven.” Amen.
 
Parking
A reminder to parents and students regarding parking, morning drop offs and afternoon pickups. The drop off loop is on the north side of the building; the first turn off when travelling on Duke Rd from Lewes Blvd. We are asking everyone to use this location to ensure safety (the staff parking lot is not designed for drop offs). We would also like to remind students to park their cars in the student parking lot, in designated parking stalls – please do not block the fire lane.  Thank you all for your cooperation in this matter.
 
Student Led Conferences
Report cards will be available for pick up during student led conferences. Please save the date: Wednesday April 9th for our Student Led Conferences (3:30 pm to 8:00pm). Report cards not picked up will be mailed home.
 
Grad Raffle
Congratulations to the winner of the Grad 50/50 Raffle – Jamie Gleason!
 
Culture Day
StFA will be celebrating Culture Day on Thursday, April 3. Teachers and students are invited to wear clothing or ethnic costumes that display their cultural heritage. During the last block of the day (period 7), we’ll have a showcase of performances. These may include songs, music, dances, poems, storytelling, and games, plus there will be a fashion show parade of everyone who’s wearing their cultural clothing. We’re still looking for acts to sign up, so volunteers are invited to sign up on the Student Government board ASAP!
 
Make it Sow Fundraiser 
The Make it Sow fundraiser is an ideal opportunity for anyone considering planting a vegetable or flower garden (large or small!) to purchase various seeds and support student activities at St. Francis of Assisi simultaneously.  Today is the last day to purchase!
