St. Francis Update
Week of October 2nd to October 6th Dear St. Francis of Assisi students and families, A Thanksgiving Prayer O God, when I have food, help me to remember the hungry; When I have work, help me to remember the jobless; When I have a home, help me to remember those who have no home at all; When I am without pain, help me to remember those who suffer, And, in remembering, help me to destroy my complacency, Bestir my compassion, and be concerned enough to help, By word and deed, those who cry out for what we take for granted. Amen. October is a month that we pause to recognize all the ways we are grateful through prayer and time spent in gratitude. In this month of Thanksgiving, let us make an effort to sit with our families and share what we are grateful for each day. This simple act will help to build connections, help support positive mental health and bring smiles to the ones we love. Truth and Reconciliation Liturgy Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in our Liturgy last Friday. We thank Roger Ellis for sharing his story with us.
