Virtual Skills Room

Dear Vanier Students and Families:

We're pleased to announce that, effective tomorrow (Friday) at 9am, our Virtual Skills Room will be open to provide extra assistance to students learning from home!

Our Virtual Skills Room will be staffed by Educational Assistants and Teachers who are available by email or Zoom to provide help (or connect to teachers who can help) for any subject.

Here is the schedule:

• Open Monday through Friday, 9 am through 5 pm.
• Closed Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2-3 pm for staff meetings.
• Depending on demand, we may consider adding evening sessions.

Whomever is “on duty” can be contacted by email at [email protected].   

We do not want to share the Zoom link publicly for security reasons.  Students who want to join by Zoom can check their teachers’ Google Classrooms for the Meeting ID and password or email [email protected] to get it. 

Schedules of “on duty” staff and direct links to Zoom will soon be available through Google Classroom to all students.

Of course, teachers are also available for extra help – they can be contacted by email using the email convention [email protected] (e.g. [email protected]).

We hope that learning from home is going well so far – please don’t hesitate to reach out by email or telephone (667-5901) if we can provide any support or assistance.
