Dear St. Francis of Assisi students and families,
A Thanksgiving Prayer
O God, when I have food,
help me to remember the hungry;
When I have work,
help me to remember the jobless;
When I have a home,
help me to remember those who have no home at all;
When I am without pain,
help me to remember those who suffer,
And, in remembering,
help me to destroy my complacency,
Bestir my compassion,
and be concerned enough to help,
By word and deed,
those who cry out for what we take for granted.
October is a month that we pause to recognize all the ways we are grateful through prayer and time spent in gratitude. In this month of Thanksgiving, let us make an effort to sit with our families and share what we are grateful for each day. This simple act will help to build connections, help support positive mental health and bring smiles to the ones we love.
Forms and Fees
You should have received forms in the mail regarding school fees and an update of information. Ensuring that your contact information is up to date, allows us to communicate with you efficiently. We respectfully ask that you pay fees promptly through cheque, cash or e-transfer firstname.lastname@example.org. In addition, those who return all completed forms by October 7th will be entered into a draw to win a $250 prepaid Visa gift card!
Scent Aware Building
Scent sensitivity…The chemicals used in scented products can affect some people, especially those with fragrance sensitivities, asthma, allergies and other medical conditions. In consideration of others, please avoid using scented products.
A reminder to parents and students that morning supervision does not begin until 8:00 am.
St. Francis Feast and Celebration
Save the Date!! On Wednesday October 12, our feast to celebrate St. Francis and the changing of the school’s name will happen on this date. Please join us between 5-7 pm for a spaghetti dinner and some enjoyable music to celebrate.
Please do not hesitate to call the school at 667-5901 if you have any questions or concerns.
