Dear Lord,
This brand new week is mine to spend, exactly as I choose.
To mark with real accomplishment or to squander and misuse.
To fill with love and cheerfulness, or bitterness and pain.
It is my choice to make this week a total loss or gain.
So counsel and direct me Lord, that when this week shall end
I may rejoice at work well done, be richer by a friend.
And when I sleep, may angels pause beside thy throne and tell,
Thank I have spent this week, not wastefully, but well.

School Messenger – Accurate Contact Information
School Messenger is being used extensively for broad communication with school communities. For people to receive relevant information it is important that contact information is accurate. Parents/Guardians, please advise the school office if your contact information has changed.  You may contact sfacss@yukon.ca if you have any updates or call us at 867-667-5901.
To receive SMS/text messages from School Messenger, one needs to have ‘opted in’ to School Messenger when the initial text was sent. Simply reply to the original message with either the words “opt in” or “subscribe”. For those who would like to opt-in after the fact, send a text message to 978338 in Canada with either the words “opt in” or “subscribe”.
 
Student Led Conferences
Report Cards will be mailed home this week, so keep an eye out for them.
Parents are invited, and encouraged, to attend Student Led Conferences on Wednesday November 8th, from 2:10 pm to 7:00 pm. We are not taking appointments; please come and meet the teachers and see what your students have been learning!
 
Update on the School Wellness Specialist positions
The Department of Education has successfully created and started recruitment of the new School Wellness Specialist position. This position is part of the significant investment in student learning and wellbeing over the next three years to add 81 full time positions to enhance student supports across Yukon schools. Canadian Women and Sport Zoom
Do you know girls and gender diverse students who are not active? Students who don’t enjoy participating in phys. ed, after-school sports, or other activities? Please invite them to the upcoming zoom conversation about their thoughts and experiences with physical activity. Please support them to sign up – their voices and experiences are valuable. Clubs and Athletics
Please visit our school website for club information and schedule of events. Congratulations to the St. Francis Volleyball teams who participated in the Dawson Invitational last week. Our students demonstrated excellent school spirit and represented us well. Three golds and one silver!! Great work team!!
